Washtenaw County AEYC & ECDA Events for October

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 7:00 p.m. Interactive Storytelling: STORIGAMI
Riverside Rooms on the Lower level of Concordia University’s Student Union

Come learn how paper, puppetry and storytelling have elements in common by storyteller Christine Petrell Kallevig with a special storytelling technique she calls STORIGAMI!!! Kallevig folds giant-sized paper as she tells stories. Each fold illustrates an action or character from the story, so by the time the story is over, a SURPRISE ORIGAMI FIGURE is MAGICALLY created in a seamless blending of these dynamic folk arts. Christine Petrell Kallevig is a children’s author, novelist, storyteller and origami artist.

Sponsored by Concordia University Kreft Arts Department & WCAEYC
This event is free to WCAEYC memebers, educators in the community & perspective WCAEYC members. Please RSVP to dsears@kendall.edu by 10/1/10
