Child Care Network is excited to announce that the Great Start Southeast RRC Jackson County Hub Office is now open!
At the Great Start Southeast Regional Resource Center (GSRRC) in Jackson, Cheryl will provide trainings and resources for relative/child care aides, licensed providers and center staff as well as support for program improvement. Support for families seeking non-traditional child care is also available through the GSRRC.
Cheryl Chaves-Torres, M.A. Ed has been involved in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 30 years. During that time, she has been involved in all aspects of the field from assistant teacher to director to college instructor.
Cheryl has served on the board of Washtenaw County AEYC and Michigan AEYC and is an assessor for the NAEYC Academy for Excellence in Early Childhood Education Programs. In 2009, Cheryl started ECE Consulting and has provided training and support to Wayne County Health & Family Services Head Start and will be a presenter at the Ohio AEYC conference in April.
